Dr. Andy Tan is an experienced Obstetrician & Gynaecologist in Singapore with over 10 years of experience. His sub-specialty interests are in Endometriosis, Pelvic Pain, Robotic and Minimal Access Surgeries.
Dr Andy Tan Wei Keat is an experienced Obstetrician & Gynaecologist in Singapore with over 10 years of experience. His sub-specialty interest is in Endometriosis, Pelvic Pain, robotic and Minimal Access Surgeries.
He is a fully accredited specialist with the Ministry of Health (MOH)’s Specialist Register in Singapore. Prior to joining private practice, Dr Tan was a Consultant with the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology in Singapore General Hospital (SGH), specialising in minimally invasive and robotic surgeries (MIRS).
During his service with SGH, he received and completed a one-year Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) clinical fellowship programme at Rigshospitalet Copenhagen, Denmark in 2019, where he trained alongside several renowned surgeons in one of the largest endometriosis referral centres in Europe, which further strengthened his knowledge and passion in MIRS.
Dr. Tan was honoured to receive the Best Systematic Review in Medicine and Surgery, Annual EBM Seminar in 2011, the Best Advanced Specialty Trainee Award (SGH) in 2015, the Service Quality (SQ) Awards for Service with a HEART award, in recognition of excellent quality service and Singhealth’s 10 years long service award in 2018.
Most recently, Dr. Tan received a nomination for SGH Quality Convention’s ‘Quality Improvement (QI) Project of the Year (2022)’, which recognises outstanding projects that demonstrates the use of structured improved methodology to achieve high-impact outcomes.
Apart from his medical duties, Dr. Tan is also actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate education as an appointed Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS, a Clinical Lecturer with the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, a Core Faculty Member with Singhealth’s Obstetrics & Gynaecology Residency Programme since 2016 and an OGSS council member since 2021.
On the medical research front, Dr. Tan has also published in both local and international peer-accredited journals, and has presented his research papers in various conferences and public forums in Singapore and overseas.
Dr. Tan currently practises at SOG – Andy Tan Clinic for Women located at Gleneagles Medical Centre and is able to converse in English, Mandarin, Bahasa and Chinese Dialects (Hokkien and Cantonese).
He is also accredited to practise at Farrer Park Hospital, Mount Alvernia Hospital, Thomson Medical Centre, and all Parkway hospitals: Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Parkway East Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital.
